Carbon Neutral Art Prints

With the limited sustainable Elegant Cats Art Collection on Bamboo paper I am offering a collection of Fine Art Prints that are carbon neutral not only due to sustainable and resource saving paper but by either avoiding or - where this is not possible - offsetting all carbon emissions in the process.

What does Carbon Neutral Art Prints mean?

To offer this special art collection I am working together with a fine art printer that offsets all carbon emissions, making it an end-to-end carbon neutral service. They minimize the energy usage and rely on renewable energy suppliers. Where unavoidable, they offset all of the remaining carbon emissions during the process.

Reducing carbon emissions is crucial.

How is carbon neutrality achieved?

The printer is using green couriers when feasible, using only renewable energy providers and using electric bikes for staff transportation. Because my partner has print facilities across the world, wherever possible we can avoid using air transportation or at least minimize it to deliver your orders.

Once the emissions were reduced as much as possible, carbonfootprint.com audits my partner to calculate the carbon impact. This report includes the performance, a breakdown of the carbon footprint, and offers further suggestions for lowering emissions even more so. Offsetting the Carbon Emissions.

My partner is funding projects for a safer climate and a more sustainable world by offsetting the unavoidable carbon emissions using The Gold Standard. (click here for more information).

My partner also adheres to the WWF guidelines by not using forestry-based carbon offsetting projects, but rather investing in renewable energy projects. More information on this can be found here.

What is the definition of carbon offsetting?

Of course, carbon offsetting alone will not address climate change, however it is an immediate and measurable way to take responsibility for our carbon footprint. With the guidance of Carbon Footprint, WWF and Gold Standard my partner decided to invest in renewable energy as the most effective way to offset, as it provides unlimited energy with immediate results.

Packaging that is sustainable

Of course the story doesn’t end here. I am concerned about climate change beyond offsetting carbon emissions during the production and transportation process. Next to offering special resource saving paper – Bamboo – as a sustainable option, I am also concerned about plastic pollution which means any kind of packaging used is critically evaluated by myself.
